Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is a wildlife sanctuary in  Chandrapur district  of Maharashtra state in India. It is Maharashtra’s oldest and largest national park. Created in 1955, the reserve includes the Tadoba National Park and the Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary. The reserve consists of 577.96 square kilometres (223.15 sq mi) of reserved forest and 32.51 square kilometres (12.55 sq mi) of protected forest.

The Tadoba National Park is divided into three separate forest ranges, i.e. Tadoba north range, Kolsa south range, and Morhurli range, which is sandwiched in between the first two. There are two lakes and one river in the park, which gets filled every monsoon, the ‘Tadoba Lake,’ ‘Kolsa Lake,’ and ‘Tadoba River.’ These lakes and rivers provide vital ingredients needed to sustain the park’s life.
The Tadoba Tiger Reserve is rich in flora and fauna. Some of the famous and wildly seen flora of this park include, Teak, Ain, Bija, Dhauda, Hald, Salai, Semal, Tendu, Beheda, Hirda, Karaya gum, Mahua Madhuca, Arjun, Bamboo, Bheria, Black Plum, and many others.
Apart from this the list of animals noted in this part include, Tigers, Indian leopards, Sloth bears, Gaur, Nilgai, Dhole, Striped Hyena, Small Indian Civet, Jungle Cats, Sambar, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Chital, Marsh Crocodile, Indian Python, Indian Cobra, Grey-headed Fish Eagle, Crested Serpent Eagle, Peacock, Jewel Beetles, Wolf Spiders, etc.
There are approximately 195 species of birds that have been recorded in the park, including three endangered species, including the grey-headed fish eagle, the crested serpent eagle, and the changeable hawk-eagle. The Tadoba is one of the finest birding destinations in Maharashtra with dense forest zones, bamboo zones, grasslands, and wetlands that suits both the forest and the wetland birds.
The interesting species of birds in the reserve, including the migrants are- Orange-headed Thrush, Indian Pitta, Crested Treeswift, Stone Curlew, Crested Honey Buzzard, Paradise Flycatcher, Bronze-winged Jacana, Lesser Goldenbacked Woodpecker, Warblers, Black-naped Blue Flycatcher, Oriental Honey Buzzard, White-eyed Buzzard, Pariah Kite, Eurasian Sparrow Hawk, Black Shouldered Kite, Shikra, Short-toed Snake Eagle, Bonelli's Eagle, Common Kestrel, Open Bill Stork, Black Ibis, Bar Headed Goose, Black Strok, Lesser Adjutant Strok, Brahminy Duck, Comb Duck, Little Grebe, Grey Heron, Large Egret, Median Egret, Indian Shag, Purple Heron, Banded Bay Cuckoo, White-breasted Water Hen, Green Sandpiper, Wood Sandpiper, Common Sandpiper, River Tern, Painted Sand Grouse, Jungle Bush Quail, Indian Peafowl, Spotted Owlet, Forest Wagtail, Grey Wagtail, White Wagtail, House Sparrow, Indian Robbin, Indian Roller, Ruby Throat, Blue Throat, Black Redstart, Grey Tit, Common Stonechat, Brahminy Myna, Asian Pied Starling, House Crow, Large-billed Crow, and many more
There are six gates in the Tadoba Tiger Reserve that gives access to the wild world consists of animals like tigers, leopards, sloth bear, hyena, jackal, wild dog, sambar, cheetal, langoors, nilgai, etc. The movement of tourists inside the park is not restricted like in other reserves, therefore one can completely enjoy a jeep safari all over the park. The names of the gates at Tadoba National Park are listed below:
Moharli Gate: Moharli Gate is the oldest entrance to the park, which is located approximately 180 kilometers away from Nagpur. There is entry of nine vehicles each morning and evening for tiger safari from this gate.

Kuswanda: The distance between Nagpur and Kuswanda Gate is 140 km and the number of vehicles allowed for tiger safari from this gate are four each morning and evening.

Kolara Gate: This gate is located at a distance of 120 km from Nagpur and the number of jeeps allowed for tiger safari from this gate is nine each
morning and evening hence eighteen rides are available for the tourists in a day.

NaveGaon Gate: The distance from Nagpur to the gate is 140 km. The park authority permits the entry of six vehicles each morning and evening
for tiger safari from this gate.

Pangdi Gate: The distance between Pangdi gate and Nagpur is 250 km and the number of vehicles allowed for tiger safari are two each morning and evening, making it a total number of four rides a day.

Zari Gate: Zari Gate is located at a distance of 190 km from Nagpur and it allows six vehicles each morning and evening for tiger safari hence twelve rides are available for the tourists in a day.

There are three zones in the reserve that gives access to the Jeep Safari, namely Moharli (Mohurli) Zone, Tadoba Zone, and Kolsa Zone. The timings of the Jeep Safari for the winter and summer are mentioned below:
